In 2020 the Class of 1982 launched a Racial Justice initiative, creating the opportunity for alumni in all classes, plus faculty and staff, to contribute to an Academic Enrichment Fund for the African and African American Studies Program(AAAS).
To seed the fund, a group of alumni spanning several classes pooled their gifts to create a matching challenge grant totaling $175,000.
Because of you, the challenge was matched and execeeded - with over $600,000 raised from more than 500 alumni, faculty and staff donors.
Together, we're building an endowment that will foster civil dialogue about race at Dartmouth and beyond.
For anyone interested in donating to the African and African American Academic Enrichment Fund we ask that you read the Statement of Understanding then make a contribution at http://dartgo.org/aaasfund.
