Movie Screening and panel discussion

Thursday, October 10, 2019
7:00pm – 9:00pm
Haldeman 41 (Kreindler Conference Hall)
Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Films

Please join the ACLU of New Hampshire and Dartmouth College to watch and discuss Man On Fire, a film about Charles Moore who self-immolated to protest racism in Grand Saline, TX in 2014. This put the town’s dark past in the spotlight. “Man on Fire” untangles the pieces of this protest and questions the racism in Grand Saline today.
After the screening will have a panel featuring Rev. Eric Jackson of the NAACP, Daniel Pontoh, a community activist, and the producer of the film, Professor James Chase Sanchez.
