Convergences: Doreen St. Félix and Jordan McDonald '21

Doreen St. Félix has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 2017 and was named the magazine's television critic in 2019. In 2017, she was a finalist for a National Magazine Award for Columns and Commentary, and, in 2019, she won in the same category.

Jordan McDonald '21 is a writer, editor, cultural worker, and student from the D.C. area studying History and English at Dartmouth College. She is editor-in-chief of Black Praxis, Dartmouth's historic Black student publication, as well as a contributing editor to Meetinghouse Magazine. Her essays, criticism, fiction, and poetry have been published in Huffington Post, Artsy, Bitch Media, The Offing, Africa is a Country, Hayden's Ferry Review, and more.
