Shelby Sinclair is a doctorial candidate in History and African American Studies at Princeton University. Her research focuses on nineteenth and twentieth century Black women's history in the United States and Caribbean with specializations in Black women's labor history, U.S. empire in the Caribbean, 20th century Haiti, and Black feminist theory. Shelby holds an M.A. in History from Princeton University and B.A. with Honors in Comparative Ethnic Studies and History from Stanford University where she was a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow.
