Matt Richardson received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and is a Dartmouth '91. He is an Associate Professor in English and the Department of African and African American Studies, and a core faculty member of the Center for Women's and Gender Studies at UT Austin. He has published articles in various academic journals such as GLQ, Sexuality Research and Social Policy: Journal of the NSRC, The Journal of Women’s History and Black Camera. He also has published fiction and poetry in publications like Pharos and Sinister Wisdom and Feminist Studies. He is a co-editor of the Transgender issue of Feminist Studies and a co-editor on the Issue of Blackness for Transgender Studies Quarterly. His latest book is entitled, The Queer Limit of Black Memory: Black Lesbian Literature and Irresolution, published by Ohio State University Press.
