Matt Richardson received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and is a Dartmouth '91. He is an Associate Professor in English and the Department of African and African American Studies, and a core faculty member of the Center for Women's and Gender Studies at UT Austin. He has published articles in various academic journals such as GLQSexuality Research and Social Policy: Journal of the NSRCThe Journal of Women’s History and Black Camera. He also has published fiction and poetry in publications like Pharos and Sinister Wisdom and Feminist Studies. He is a co-editor of the Transgender issue of Feminist Studies and a co-editor on the Issue of Blackness for Transgender Studies Quarterly. His latest book is entitled, The Queer Limit of Black Memory: Black Lesbian Literature and Irresolution, published by Ohio State University Press.
