This documentary (86 min.), produced in 2015 and winner of the People's Choice Award for feature film at the Edmonton International Film Festival, explores the impact that African American hockey players have had on the game and society through the years, from the earliest accounts - of the "Colored Hockey League" in Nova Scotia in the late 1800s - to the present day. Directed by Damon Kwame Mason, who was born and raised in Toronto, where he developed a love for the sport. A panel discussion with Randall Balmer (Religion) and Derrick White (History) will follow.
